The 2008 Summer Performing Arts series was a resounding success.  Every Sunday the Barnstable Summer Family Theater performed The Merry Wives of Windsor by William Shakespeare. These multi talented Barnstable High School students brought new enthusiasm and a fresh look at the Bard’s masterpiece of fun and humor and confusion.

The Citizens Bank Concert Series Performances brought smiles to faces and music to ears with a wide variety of Dixieland, Interactive Children’s entertainment and Big Band Sound on Tuesday evenings. All concerts began at 6:00 PM.

On Friday’s, the Town of Barnstable in conjunction with Hy Line Cruises, Baxter’s Fish and Chips, Bank of Cape Cod featured the sounds of Summer with Reggae, Rhythm and Blues Concerts. Performers included “Twenty Eight”,  “Mentos and the New Horizon”, “Roots Down Below”, “The Incredible Casuals” and “Johnny Hoy and the Bluefish”.
